As in the introduction, it is essential to revisit your thesis statement in the conclusion. The rest of the conclusion expands out, giving the reader an idea of the relevance and implications of your answer: As with the introduction, this order of elements is not set in stone.
Adapt the order to suit the needs of each particular essay.
You restate your thesis and summarize your main points of evidence for the reader. In the following example, the thesis statement is in bold. It will, however, take time, money, and a combined effort on the part of many people.
Organized, free, after-school programs such as: sports teams and games; art, music, and drama activities; internships in local area businesses and professional organizations; and interesting volunteer activities in the community would help engage teens in worthwhile pursuits outside of school hours.
There are several general statements that you can make in the conclusion to take it beyond merely summarising the essay. Furthermore, by removing the opportunity for children to bully, providing children with a stimulating environment, and giving them the tools to deal with conflict appropriately, teachers can reduce children's inclination to bully.
Although bullying will never be fully eradicated and must be dealt with as soon as it occurs, increasing awareness of the problem is making schools a safer and more enjoyable environment in which children can learn.Use the same keywords and ideas as the body paragraphs, but don't just repeat the same sentences.Essays are often described as an attempt to “sell” your perspective on an issue. The following example conclusion contains all three components: By educating themselves about bullying, teachers and parents have the knowledge to set up effective programmes and structures both within the classroom and for the whole school.More job opportunities for teens, especially those funded by state and local programs, would offer income for teens as well as productive work for the community.Outreach to families through schools, community organizations, and places of worship would help promote inter-generational activities that could improve family closeness, helping teens to work on their problems at the family level, instead of taking them to the streets.It is the final page of your project and it tells your reader everything about the sources from which you borrowed information. You probably learned the basic structure of an English essay in grammar school: State your thesis, provide supporting evidence for your thesis, present opposing views, refute those views and then restate your thesis.In this example, you might say, “One year will be a long time for Joe Slugger to live with this underwhelming vote of confidence.But with any luck, at this time next year, another team will come along and correct this egregious mistake.” Call to actions can be fun to write, and in most cases, they can be directed to several people (or organizations) within an essay.
